Embodiment is the Process of Becoming
I’m Jacqueline Fritz, a movement educator with over 25 years of experience in the wellness space. My approach blends therapeutic movement, somatic awareness, and holistic care rooted in both science and lived experience.
My path began as a professional dancer, where I learned to push through pain in pursuit of perfection. Years of overriding my body led to lasting injuries, and eventually, I was diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis and Psoriatic Arthritis—two autoimmune conditions that changed the course of my life and work.
Healing began when I stopped trying to control my body and started listening to it.
Early on, I opened a wellness studio in St. Louis, where I taught Pilates, Yoga, and group classes. Since then, my work has grown beyond the studio. I now support clients virtually, in person, and on retreat—currently based in Lisbon, Portugal and working internationally
Over the years, I’ve trained in Clinical Thai Bodywork, Somatic Therapy, and trauma-informed practices. My continuing education includes orthopedic manual therapy, the fascial system, trigger point therapy, somatic experiencing, and structural integration. These practices form the foundation of my integrative approach.
I’m also pursuing a second Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology to deepen my understanding of the mind-body connection and strengthen my biopsychosocial lens—one that considers the full human experience: physical, emotional, social, and spiritual.
I work with women navigating hormonal transitions, people living with chronic pain, and anyone looking to move beyond patterns of disconnection. Using a combination of myofascial techniques, nervous system tools, pain science, and embodied movement, I support each client in reconnecting with their body and moving through the world with more presence and ease.
I believe movement is medicine. And that healing happens when we create space to be with what’s true—without judgment, with care, and with choice..
